SolServices Ltd.’s first self-invested solar park will be built near the county seat of Jász-Nagykun-Szolnok. The project will start in the summer of 2021 and is expected to be completed by the end of 2022 at the latest, at which time the completed solar farm will be connected to the public grid in a commercial plant.

The investment will create one of the largest solar farms in Hungary. The importance of the project, which will be built next to each other with a total installed capacity of 138 MW, is demonstrated by the fact that it will be able to generate enough electricity to cover 42% of the county’s total electricity consumption. Its positive impact on climate protection is also significant. Thanks to the application of this environmentally friendly technology, we will save the atmosphere from the emission of approximately 39,000 tonnes of CO2 per year, which is equivalent to the annual CO2 sequestration of 274 hectares of oak forest, three times the area of the Tiszaliget in Szolnok.
The facility, which will be built on the outer side of the M4 motorway bypassing the city from the north, will be the largest in Hungary and the first new generation nature-friendly solar park in the Central and Eastern European region.
